You will be working with your hands, using a tape measure, building, assembling, and other various manufacturing duties for a company who produces aluminum windows and more. POSITION - Glass Cutter JOB LOCATION - Bloomer, Wisconsin STARTING DATE - Immediate EMPLOYMENT TERM - Temp-to-Hire EMPLOYMENT TYPE - Full-Time WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - 1st Shift (6:30am-5:00pm, Mon-Thur) STARTING PAY - $18.00/hour (with ability to earn up to $23/hour) BENEFITS - Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Referral Bonus REQUIRED EDUCATION - High School Diploma/GED preferred REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Previous manufacturing experience required, 1 year or more Associates will be working in a warehouse setting producing and manufacturing windows. You will be part of a team where ideally you are cross trained into various positions. Some duties will include loading windows and handling production supplies and materials, cleaning glass, and other general miscellaneous warehouse duties including building frames for the windows and cleanup. Main daily duty will be to cut the glass for the making of the windows. You will learn to operate a CNC Machine and do frequent lifting, often overhead. We are looking for someone who enjoys going to work daily and learning multiple tasks and job duties. An ideal candidate will have a solid work history and be committed to excellent attendance. Responsibilities Use computer to select cut files Break apart cut glass and discard left over pieces Place cut glass into racks Operate a CNC Manual cutting as needed Temper required glass pieces Make adjustments to tempering oven as needed Qualifications - Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and good attendance history - Willingness to learn and work safely and have good organization skills - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and glass that is up to 55 x 72 or smaller - Great attitude and willingness to work as a team - Must be 18 years or older - Must wear required PPE including cut gloves/cut sleeves/cut shirts when required, safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes - Ability to learn how to operate a CNC - Work efficiently independently and as part of a team - Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multitask - Must be able to work with changing priorities in workload - Flexibility to cross train - Be able to read a tape measure, caliper and other tools About SEEK Careers/Staffing You are a person with unique skills, experience and education.When you want to be heard and when you want to be matched with great career opportunities that are right for you, you can count on SEEK Careers/Staffing, Inc.
