Summary:

The Director of Marketing Science leads a global team of analytically curious professionals working to guide and influence advertisers and the industry as a whole on the need for robust, data-based marketing decision making. They are responsible for helping Meta's advertisers improve their marketing performance potential on our platforms. This work will require managing and inspiring a team across the globe and providing leadership within the external community. A successful candidate will drive insights and develop measurement strategies in service to the mission of helping all businesses grow, by transforming marketing practices, grounded in data and science. The person in this role will champion the adoption of Meta preferred measurement methods, marketing best practices and products at scale managing highly scaled and automated go-to-market initiatives. Success will require close partnership with Meta's product and sales teams, activating the industry and partner ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical, and critical thinking skills and a passion for helping clients of all sizes succeed with their marketing efforts on Meta platforms. They will be excited by managing a global team and building a function that is intended to operate at scale. This role will challenge the candidate to not only provide strategic direction to the team/market on key measurement efforts but also to develop a deep understanding of marketing best practices on the Meta platforms.

Required Skills:

Global Director Marketing Science, SMBG Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of measurement professionals of varying skill levels across geographies, identifying opportunities for progression and nurturing future leaders.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key sales and marketing leadership partners globally to influence and support joint priorities.
  • Drive market, vertical, and industry adoption of preferred measurement methodologies, products, and best practices using highly scaled tactics and techniques.
  • Implement and monitor against a set of performance indicators the progress of key initiatives.
  • Nurture client centricity at all levels of the organization and represent the customer with relation to advertising performance and measurement to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback to and collaborate with Product and Partnerships to identify opportunities for new features, products, and partnerships and drive advertiser performance.
  • Develop a strategy and nurture the partner ecosystem to advance the use of advertising insights and measurement to help advertisers better understand the performance of their marketing spend.
  • Oversee a scaled research agenda to measure ad effectiveness for Meta advertisers to understand the relative impact of different marketing strategies across digital platforms and across media.
  • Represent the Marketing Science team internally and externally with cross-functional teams and at industry events.
  • Global travel required as needed.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Extensive experience and familiarity with advertising measurement methods and technologies.
  • Experience leading leaders across multiple geographies with team management credentials.
  • Advanced quantitative skills and working knowledge of statistics and research design.
  • Experience communicating technical content to a general audience effectively at all levels of client sophistication.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field or an MBA.
  • Public Compensation:

    $314,000/year to $361,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
