An internationally renowned entertainment lighting and technology brand manufacturer is looking to appoint an accomplished Global Director of Marketing to serve as the chief marketing strategist and department head, responsible for leading all marketing activity across the business.
About the Role
This key leadership role will focus on overseeing the entire marketing function within the business, including communications, branding, brand development, messaging and content, PR and business marketing operations across the entire product mix and brand portfolio. Managing and collaborating with functional brand and category leaders, this global position will involve the development of country and market-specific programs and managing these through an international team, at all times ensuring the focus is to continuously elevate brand positioning, deliver successful go to market strategies and achieve the growth goals within the business for each of the product categories.
You and your team will oversee B2B and B2C communications, advertising, product launches, and education programs. Additionally, your department will contribute to the identification of new product opportunities and support with product development, ensuring there is consistency in branding and messaging. Your role will be instrumental in enabling the organization to grow and expand across all its existing and future product categories, vertical markets and geographic territories.
About You
You are a seasoned marketing leader with extensive experience in corporate, brand, and B2B and B2C channel marketing. Your background will include leadership roles in high-growth environments, and you will possess a hands-on, engaged and outcome-oriented approach, and will thrive in commercially focused missions.
Ideally, you will already have worked in a product or solutions category in the entertainment technology field or will have experience working with technically sophisticated hardware products and their customers including B2B partners.
You will have a well-developed understanding of the commercial aspects of business, enabling you to collaborate with sales organisations and individuals to ensure there is effective alignment of marketing programs with commercial strategies and business goals.
You will have experience in creating, communicating, and executing multi-brand/channel strategies, and will be comfortable in both traditional and digital marketing activities. Your leadership style encourages effective collaboration with a focus on outcome and results, and you are a comfortable and natural motivator and influencer across diverse and multi-discipline teams. Knowledge and proficiency in e-commerce and the latest developments in creative and business marketing technology are essential. Willingness to report on-site full-time to the office in the South-Eastern United States and extensive travel are required.
