Role: As Global Energy Leader you will be expected to provide strong and enthusiastic leadership, leading a network of energy managers and professionals at enterprise level across a global footprint (with manufacturing assets in the UK, Netherlands, USA, Mexico, Brazil, China, and Singapore). Promoting best practice, you will own the strategy and management systems for global energy management, seeking to promote a culture of personal accountability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
- Drive improvement strategies to reduce energy intensity in support of company sustainability programs which include technology upgrades.
- Leverage third party vendors to scope and execute technology upgrades.
- Oversee global energy management systems (governance, review/upgrade, internal and third-party audits/assessments, external scanning for emerging issues etc.).
- Ensure flawless compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and alignment with The LYCRA Company's internal EHS risk profile.
- Develop global energy team capabilities, with a view to upgrading knowledge and skills, building succession plans, and ensuring all manufacturing sites have adequate capacity and capabilities to meet required energy performance standards (including effective training and development systems, processes, and tools).
- Evolve forums to better foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across regions and facilities, consistent with our 'one global asset, one global team' mental model.
- Provide visibility of key risks to the global leadership team, with corresponding recommendations regarding risk mitigation. Exercise good critical thinking when faced with complex or ambiguous challenges, being willing to seek help and escalate issues to facilitate necessary interventions in a timely manner.
- Network with external bodies, third parties (professional bodies/associations, regulatory agencies etc.) to identify energy best practices and supporting technological enablers, with a view to driving continuous improvement.
- Own energy performance standards, policies and KPIs, ensuring that all data is accurate and complete.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 5 years experience in the manufacturing sector, subject matter expert, including technical proficiency around industrial scale utilities processes and energy regulations.
- Proven leadership experience spanning multiple countries.
- Strong project and process management skills, with experience managing projects and/or change initiatives, including leading multi - functional teams on continuous improvement programs and providing technical advice and guidance.
- Knowledge of energy consumption best practices and strategies for transformation
- Ability to assess the theoretical energy requirements and strategies for transformation.
- Good business acumen, strategic thinker, flexible, resilient, and composed under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to influence without authority and foster effective collaboration between stakeholders.
- Ability to develop strategic partnerships with external parties (import of specialist knowledge, skills, and capabilities)
- Ability to identify technology investments based on critical thinking and economic analysis and engage with stakeholders to seek support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent in English.
- Ability to travel globally.

- Process modelling and data analytics skills.
- Previous experience of developing an energy management system
- Previous multisite management experience
