Global Procurement Manager - Utilities Location: Georgia, USAWorking Schedule: Hybrid ScheduleLevel: Manager (3-5 direct reports)SUMMARY We are a global utilities company that builds high-voltage electric systems and currently in search of an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities, particularly in acquiring essential materials and equipment for large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.The Global Category Manager will have these responsibilities:

• Oversee the procurement process for critical materials and equipment necessary for our infrastructure projects, including metals, large industrial components, power transformers, etc.
• Manage and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of relationship-building collaboration.
• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors internationally, negotiating global contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives that ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials while maintaining supplier quality standards.
• Manage budget allocations for procurement, tracking expenditures to identify potential savings.
• Negotiate contracts with global suppliers to secure the best possible terms, focusing on long-term relationships and supply chain reliability.

The Global Category Manager has the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Engineering) w/ 7-11 years of supply chain procurement experience
• 4+ years of people management/team leadership experience
• Must have recent experience in the electric utilities industry
