Role Description

The Golf Course Superintendent oversees the golf course operation and maintenance:

Turf Grass and Plant Material Maintenance: Ensuring the health and aesthetics of the golf

courses grass and plants.

Property and Asset Management: Overseeing the maintenance and care of the golf courses

physical assets.

Personnel Management: Leading and managing the staff, fostering a positive and respectful

work environment. Creating an environment where staff are engaged and enthusiastic is crucial.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Managing financial aspects, including budgeting and financial

planning.

Member Relations: Maintaining good relationships with members and guests.

irrigation Systems: Scheduling and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure optimal water

usage.

Pesticide Applications: Pesticides are applied safely and effectively, and accurate records are kept.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all activities comply with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Education: A bachelors degree or associate degree in turfgrass management, agronomy, or a related

field.

Experience: At least four to ten years of experience in golf course management.

Certifications: Florida Commercial Applicator license in Ornamental and Turf, Valid Florida drivers

license, and Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) (a plus but not required).
