Job Details

The League Director will be responsible for growing a community of youth golfers in their respective state from ages 6-18 to play in a spring and fall tournaments (6 matches) at the golf courses of their choosing:

What you will do:

  • Serve as a role model and positive example for the players, parents and volunteers.
  • Work directly with the tour team to ensure the success of the league
  • Communicate with players', parents and the public in a positive and professional manner.
  • Build and coordinate Jr. Youth golf teams in the age groups of 6-18 ideally 30 to play
  • Network and build a list of golf clubs to hold the matches.
  • Facilitate, with other club leaders, a strong youth-in-sports and youth Golf culture that is focused on age appropriate coaching.
  • Coordinate practice schedules and help ensure practice locations.

What skills do you need:

Want to help build a Jr. Golf league in your community and have the connections to do so

Ability to build and grow a youth golf league for another entity (collegiate, nonprofit, business operations for a golfclub etc.) on the business operational side. Strong leadership and management skills that include the following:

Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, Board Members, Sponsors, and Government Officials.

Quickly handle member complaints and issues, league/coach/referee issues, identify root cause, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations or decisions to move forward promptly

Assess options and actions based on trends and conditions in the local or national environments; opportunities presented to partner for program or programming expansion.

Successfully pass a background check.

Familiarity with basic spreadsheet or database software, digital communications platforms (email, text, social media)

Familiarity with online youth sports scheduling software is preferred-Sports engine, launch track, golf genius etc.
