Job Description:
- Installation and Repair technician for Google Fiber. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and customer experience of high speed Internet and voice services, working both inside and outside the home.
Installation of Internet Service May Include:
- Installation of Customer Premises Equipment [IE: ONTs, Routers, Switches]
- Connecting Fiber Optic jumpers
- Running or reusing COAX or CAT5/CAT6 wiring
- Network Configuration
- Verification and Customer Education on Services Provided
Employment Requirements:
- Valid state driver's license and non-negligent driving record
- Pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening
- Ability to perform job activities in all weather conditions
IE: Extreme heat/cold, rain, snow, inclement weather
- Capable of carrying, handling, and climbing 24ft ladders
- Weekend and Holiday work may be required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently to achieve common goals in the field with little supervision
Preferred:
- Experience configuring Routers and Home Networks
- Telecom/Low-Voltage Installation Experience: CAT5/CAT6 and/or COAX
- Working Knowledge of Basic Power and Hand Tools
- Basic Knowledge of Home Construction
- Customer Service
