We seek a passionate and driven Government Contract Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic team! API Innovation Center (APIIC) is a non-profit entity in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to delivering a market-competitive commercial supply of U.S.-made Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) to strengthen the domestic pharmaceutical supply chain. We focus on de-risking the commercialization and adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as continuous flow chemistry, to successfully re-shore domestic production of APIs. As an experienced Government Contract Reporting Specialist, you will manage and ensure accuracy on all reporting related to both state and federal contracts. You will play a critical role in ensuring all contracts are monitored, tracked, and reported by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), agency-specific guidelines, and organizational policies. You will support the development and compliance efforts of the center, ensuring alignment with government regulations, tracking contract performance, and maintaining transparency. To thrive, you should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in government contract reporting or a closely related role.
  • Strong familiarity with federal and state contract regulations, such as FAR and other applicable laws and regulations. Familiarity with contract management software and federal reporting systems ( e.g., SAM, FPDS-NG).
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Solid verbal and written communication abilities, capable of explaining complex reporting requirements and regulatory obligations clearly.
  • Adept at identifying and addressing compliance or reporting issues promptly and effectively.
  • Experience with reporting software, spreadsheets, and contract management tools and data analysis tools.
Your responsibilities as the Government Contract Reporting Specialist will include:
  • Ensure preparation and accuracy of all required performance reports per the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), agency-specific guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor contract requirements and reporting obligations to ensure all necessary filings are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Gather, track, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure completeness and accuracy in government reports.
  • Maintain detailed records of contracts, reporting deadlines, and submission requirements following internal procedures and policies.
  • Support the points of contact between the APIIC and government agencies to manage queries, resolve issues, and ensure smooth reporting processes.
  • Manage contract amendments, modifications, and renewals under FAR and other applicable requirements. Ensure all contract documentation is accurately maintained in contract management systems.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to government contracts by providing organized and complete documentation and reports. Identify and mitigate risks related to contract reporting and compliance. Implement corrective actions as needed to resolve contract issues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the contract reporting process, improving efficiency and ensuring compliance with evolving government regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director, Government and External Affairs, the Vice President of Research & Development, Project Managers, the Manager of Strategic Initiatives, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer to ensure alignment on reporting and compliance requirements.
