What you'll be doing...Verizon seeks a qualified Government Contracts Counsel to join its Public Sector legal team. This position will report to the Sr. Managing Associate General Counsel responsible for Public Sector Compliance, and will specifically support Verizon's Federal subcontracting and partnership activities. The candidate will work closely with key vendors, interpret and negotiate contract terms, and support the development of a unified administration, negotiation, and management process across all Federal subcontracts. The candidate must have sound business and contract judgment, strong interpersonal and negotiations skills, demonstrated ability to assess and improve workflow processes. The ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic sales environment is critical, as is the ability to develop key relationships and maintain a visible presence within Verizon's Sourcing and Public Sector Sales organizations.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $165,000.00 and $306,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
