This position can also be located in Sterling, VA or Saratoga, FL. This position will require the successful candidate to obtain and retain a TS/SCI with Poly.The Opportunity:As the selected candidate for this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. You will manage the performance of logistics functions including system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Duties may include managing the control of the flow of goods, services and information between the point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements as well as ensuring the execution and improvement of standard logistic processes. You will be also plan, schedule, and route imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from international destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage, and customs transaction compliance. You will also assess and maintain compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for receiving, processing, storing, routing, and distributing property and materials.
  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area.
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function. Typically has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.)
  • Coordinates requirements for technical purchases between requestor and vendor while managing attribution
  • Communicates between Government user and vendor for returns, service, support, documentation, etc., while managing attribution
  • Prepares shipment as needed to include: documentation, inventory, palletizing, boxing, packaging, wrapping and banding
  • Ensure proper practices are implemented for procurements
  • Creates and produces expenditure reports, ROMs, and BOEs as needed
  • Develops and submits Property and Materials Reports
  • Works closely with the PM, Government staff, and vendors to process all procurement requirements and ensures cost and quality metrics are tracked and monitored.
  • Manages and mitigates risks and ensures continuous supply chain support is provided for rapid response to all customer requirements with no mission disruption.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Logistics Manager in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional Logistics Manager experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree with Associates Degree.
Desired:
  • TS/SCI with Poly desired.
  • Experience with systems engineering or electronic equipment.
