Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of all levels of government and procurement process
  • Understanding of all levels of government buyers
  • Major focus on Developing new business
  • Have a great knowledge of state contract(s) as well as other cooperative contracts
  • Interact with existing government customers to increase revenue
  • Interact with OSRs to develop business
  • Great organization skills
  • Maintain and nurture relationships
  • Develop brand recognition to government customers
  • Work closely with all divisions of Sunbelt
  • Recognize industry trends with the potential to benefit the Public Sector and successfully champion the concept to market.
  • Capture all governmental opportunities within the territory.
  • Capture leads for private contractors involved with outsourced projects.
  • Contribute to the establishment of the Sunbelt Government Department as a trusted source for sales support for District, PC and OSR territory and revenue development.
  • Secure/Manage State & Local equipment rental/purchasing contracts within territory.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma + 3 years work experience or College degree and 2+ years work experience
  • 2 years in a sales role. This can be inside sales or Outside sales
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Wynne Rental Man (a plus but not required)
  • Teamwork skills
  • Comfortable calling on office and field site locations
  • Ability to incorporate the Specialty Businesses into their presentations and product offerings. Specific specialty product training to be provided by the various Sunbelt experts – IRG, Scaffolding, P&P, Compressed Air Solutions, Ashtead Technologies, Scaffolding, P&P, Compressed Air Solutions, Ashtead Technologies.
  • Willingness to work in an early-stage program with expectations towards sustainable growth
  • Ability to travel within territory 2-3 days per week by car.
  • Willingness to be available on an on call basis during times of natural disaster and emergency.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $40,000.00 - 62,965.00

Total compensation package includes base pay plus robust commission plan.
