Position Summary:
ENMU offers graduate assistantships to current graduate students during the course of the year. Duties are assigned by individual departments and include, but are not limited to one or more of the following: teaching undergraduate courses, providing research assistance to faculty, providing departmental library or instructional support, assisting in departmental operations.Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teaching undergraduate courses, providing research assistance to faculty, providing departmental library or instructional support, and/or assisting in departmental operations as assigned by the Graduate Coordinator of the program
Minimum Job Requirements:
* Admitted into graduate school and enrolled in 9 hours of graduate coursework (fewer hours required for partial GA)
* Must maintain a graduate GPA of at least a 3.0
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Sufficient undergraduate background to carry out the duties as assigned by the department
* Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats
* Work cooperatively with faculty, students and staffPhysical Working Demand:
* Graduate positions vary in length from 1-2 semesters and hours 9-18 per week. Some summer positions are available for 9 hours a week for four weeks at a time.
* Depending on work type, work is sedentary to moderate in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise more objects.Condition of Employment: Must pass a pre-employment background check.
