This graduate assistant position is responsible for building relationships with prospective graduate students, guiding them through the admissions process, and creating an open and welcoming environment for prospective students to explore whether the University of Findlay is the right fit for their goals. The role will involve close collaboration with specific colleges, assigned academic programs, and other campus entities. Additionally, the graduate assistant will assist with the development and management of a prospective graduate student population, which may include occasional travel to support college fairs or professional meetings and help establish connections with businesses, school systems, health care organizations, and community colleges. Some evening and weekend work may be required.Essential FunctionsThis position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment.Collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals and adjust planned activities to accommodate new or changing situations. Support the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for designated graduate programs under the guidance of the admissions team. Communicate regularly with program directors to ensure recruitment materials are accurate and up to date. Represent the University of Findlay at select fairs, professional meetings, and virtual recruitment events as needed. Frequently engage in phone calls with prospective students to provide information, answer questions, and guide them through the admissions process. Assist with lead mailings and identify appropriate mailing lists to support recruitment efforts. Utilize the University CRM system to manage prospective student records, track progress, and monitor communication plans. Help manage communication plans for prospective students throughout the enrollment process to ensure timely and effective outreach. Provide general guidance to prospective students regarding scholarship opportunities, financial aid eligibility, and payment options. Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with businesses, school systems, health care organizations, and community colleges through outreach efforts. Document recruitment activities and suggest advertising and outreach initiatives based on observations and feedback. Work closely with program directors to maintain regular contact with prospective students from initial inquiry to enrollment. Assist the director as needed with orientation services and student support. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone. Light to moderate lifting may be required.TravelA valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. Some evening and weekend work, and some overnight travel are expectations of this position. Fall travel season usually begins in mid-September and ends in mid-November. Spring travel usually happens throughout March and April. Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Previous experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) system is a plus.
