Graduate Program Administrative Assistant

The Graduate Program Administrative Assistant is responsible for ensuring excellence in all administrative matters, including but not limited to: correspondence, online platform management, academic services, financial record-keeping, program assessment, marketing, and course proctoring. In this job, you will conduct the daily operations of the graduate program and serve as a personal assistant to the program director.
You will get the opportunity to build relationships with our valued students and faculty, grow intellectually and spiritually as you engage with course materials, and make a lasting impact in churches and ministries around the globe through the students to whom you provide a God-centered graduate education.
As a GBSC employee, you will be able to apply for professional development funds ($300/year), and may use them towards professional certification programs, such as the Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence (PACE) program.
Responsibilities
* Correspondence-Manage all correspondence for the graduate program.
* Online Platform-Facilitate course development and maintenance in online LMS and other relevant platforms (YouTube, Piazza Discussion Forums).
* Academic Services-Provide academic services and advising for graduate students.
* Assessment-Keep records and produce reports as required by the department, institution, and various accreditation organizations.
* Marketing-Assist in marketing the program through various means.
* Proctoring-Proctor three zero credit-hour courses/modules: Graduate Mentorship Program, Graduate Ministry Involvement, and the Introduction to Graduate Studies Module.
* Miscellaneous-Assist professors and program directors with their workloads whenever necessary (e.g. helping with syllabus construction, grading, entering of grades, etc.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree, some graduate-level study is a plus
* You have interpersonal skills, excellent office and phone etiquette, and a professional and courteous demeanor that will help us deliver unparalleled service that keeps our students coming back.
* Your organizational skills, multitasking talents, and capacity to navigate multiple deadlines will keep the Graduate Office on top of its various responsibilities.
* You are a capable learner when it comes to new systems and have demonstrable skills with word-processing software, spreadsheets, and presentations.
* Your proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement will help the program strive for continuing excellence in accomplishing its mission.
* The ability to work both independently and in collaboration is essential to this role as you will be conducting routine tasks and working with other staff and faculty on an ongoing basis.
Helpful, but Not Necessary
* Undergraduate coursework in biblical and theological studies.
* Greek and Hebrew.
* Facility with Logos Bible Software and Bibleworks 10.
