Grain and Agronomy Operator - GPAC : Job Details

A local leader in the Ag Industry is looking to hire a Grain and Agronomy Operator. This position is best suited for someone who can multi-task throughout their day and has a willingness to grow and learn. As a Grain and Agronomy Operator there will be opportunity for you to learn more about the ins and outs of farming with potential for growth within the company!

Grain and Agronomy Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate various equipment such as tractors, sprayers, etc.
• Mix chemicals and fertilizer
• Use technology such as GPS systems and different equipment
• Maintain current equipment by performing general maintenance and repairs when needed
• Perform duties necessary for crop production such as tillage, planting, harvest, and cultivating
• Work overtime depending on the season, such as during planting, to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Some sales
• Ability to move or lift up to 50lbs
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions within reason

Grain and Agronomy Operator Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License required
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical skills preferred
• General ag background and knowledge preferred
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Class A CDL or willingness to obtain

Grain and Agronomy Operator Compensation:

• compensation ranges from $18-$24 an hour with opportunity for overtime
• profit sharing
