Description Procures grain and establishes supplier relationships while supporting the goals and objectives of the commodities group and the Company.
- Purchases corn supply as required from producers and grain elevators in accordance with guidelines provided.
- Establishes relationships with area producers and marketing groups as well as backup relationships with other locations.
- Assists with determining appropriate cash contracts for the region.
- Communicates effectively with producers and elevators as required for contracting grain purchases and scheduling deliveries.
- Enters purchase contracts into grain accounting system.
- Maintains grain position reports for facility; compiles and maintains corporate-wide position report.
- Works with accounting department as required to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments to producers and elevators.
- Coordinates location hedge positions and recommendations to upper management.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications - Associate's degree or higher level degree required.
- Bachelor's or higher level degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
- 5 years of experience with agriculture products or grain purchasing required.
- Proven customer service experience required.
- Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously required.
- Experience with accounting systems required.
- Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.
