The successful candidate will be responsible for managing grant programs and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, experience with federal grant administration, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee the grant application process, including overseeing grant proposal development, budgets, regulations, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines related to grant administration.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to grant management.
- Manage multiple grants simultaneously.
- Monitor and track grant spending and report on grant performance to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project and finance teams to ensure grant objectives are met and grant funds are used as required.
- Prepare and submit required grant reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files related to grant administration.
- Provide guidance and training to grant recipients and project teams.
- Communicate compliance standards to the project team and act as a liaison between the internal team and federal officer(s).
- Ensure routine reporting infrastructure is in place to streamline quarterly and semi-annual reporting.
- Stay up to date on changes in federal grant regulations and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Three to five year(s) of relatable experience is required.
- Five to seven years of experience in federal grant administration is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to grant management. Specifically relating to grants from local,state and federal agencies
- Able to commit at least 40 dedicated hours per week (onsite during business during hours)
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to manage, inspect and approve/deny reporting inputs from multiple team members.
- Experience working with diverse communities and populations is preferred.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of federal grant management systems, such as Grants.gov, FSRS.gov, and eRA Commons
- 3-5+ Years of Experience with grant accounting and financial management, including budget development and monitoring, financial reporting ASAP.Gov, and auditing. Grant administration experience within academic institutions is a plus.
- Understanding of program evaluation methods and techniques, and experience with collecting and analyzing data to assess program outcomes and effectiveness.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices, and ability to manage multiple grants and priorities concurrently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including grant recipients, project teams, government officials, and community groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and address issues and challenges related to grant administration and management.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to grant management, and ability to interpret and apply them in a practical and effective manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, and to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to achieve program goals.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with grant management software and systems
