Job Responsibilities: Support CAFES's mission by ensuring that high-quality, competitive grant proposals are developed and submitted efficiently. Interact with federal and state agencies by serving as a liaison, fostering strong relationships through regular communication. Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
* Computer systems and software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Data entry and management
* Understanding of grant writing and submission requirements
* Management practices
Skill & Ability to:
* Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Work within short deadlines
* Prioritize and multi-task, practicing excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Work independently and as a team with a high degree of reliability, accuracy, and consistency
* Meet deadlines and work in stressful situations
* Formulate projects or budget
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
* Experience in higher education research funding
Required License: Valid Drivers License

Our core business hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. However, during peak granting season, early morning and irregular work hours may be required to meet critical deadlines and ensure the timely submission of grant applications.
