Day-to-day:-Working closely with faculty, principal investigators, and project directors throughout the University and external agencies-Provide technical pre-and post-award support to principal investigators and project directors in the development, review and submission of all routine/complex grant and contract proposals by providing extensive information and guidance for use in the proposal submission process with a concentration on budgetary matters-Develop and maintain a schedule of funding cycles, proposal submissions, and reporting deadlines-Ensure that applicants are aware of and comply with applicable deadlines-Review completed proposal applications and contracts for accuracy, completeness and compliance with the requirements of the University, the University System, and the prospective funding agency-Work with federal, state, and private funding entitiesDevelop and provide training on the administrative and financial requirements of the various awards as needed, as well as perform other duties as assigned.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Required Skills & Experience-Bachelor's Degree-1-3 years of experience working with Grants in the Higher-ed, Non-profit, or For-profit space-Experience working with grants management, accounting, or proposal development-Experience writing, reviewing, developing, editing, creating budgets/budget narratives and submission of proposals-Proficient with strong computer and web-based experience, including Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Drive, Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc.).-Excellent time management skills, analytical thinking skills, and collaboration skills. Nice to Have Skills & Experience-CRA Certification-knowledge of electronic research administration including submission portals such as grants.gov, the NIH eRACommons and NSF Fastlane-Knowledge of federal, state, and university grant programs that support research, instruction, and public service across disciplines and their submission process Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
