GCTD JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: GRANTS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT LOCATION: GALVESTON / BRAZORIA COUNTIES EMPLOYMENT STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE About the Role:As a Grants Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's grant application process. You will be assisting with the completion of grant applications. Additionally, you will assist in the management of grant-related documents and communications with the Grant Manager. Your attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with team members will be essential to the success of our grant-seeking efforts.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FTA and/or TXDot experience
  • Familiarity with grant application processes and requirements
  • Experience working in a government organization
Responsibilities:
  • Support grants manger with administrative tasks related to compliance and generate grant documents;
  • Maintain grantmaking information and other systems as directed by Grants Manager;
  • Accurately collect, input and process grant information;
  • Provide technical support as needed;
  • Maintain files;
  • Respond to email and telephone inquiries;
  • Supports GCTD's monitoring, and oversight of grant management programs
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications
  • Maintain accurate records of grant-related documents and communications
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of grant applications
  • Conduct research on potential grant opportunities
  • Assist in the development of grant proposals and performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Required Licensure & Certifications
  • At minimum active and valid vehicle liability insurance
  • No more than 3 moving or safety violations within the past 3 years
  • Requires an active and valid Texas driver's license
Skills:In this role, you will utilize your strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be essential in communicating. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software will also be utilized in your daily work.
