Job Summary Job Description The Grants Specialist Senior is responsible for coordinating college-wide grants functions to identify, prioritize, and pursue grants and other strategic opportunities that advance and align with the college's mission and strategic priorities. They are responsible for the identification of potential grant projects, the development and oversight of processes and procedures that allow for timely review of potential grants to pursue, and the writing and submission of grant applications. The Specialist ensures compliance with external rules and regulations and provides training and technical assistance to project managers and teams when needed. The Grants Specialist is responsible for coordinating the College's grant functions, including assisting with the development, implementation and application of policies, procedures, and programs. This also includes researching grant opportunities; leading the strategic review of funding opportunities to determine application potential; preparation, writing and timely submission of grant applications and reports; development and adjustment of associated budgets and coordination of budgeted funds; and working with the associated grant participants to ensure timely application for reimbursement from funders. The Specialist will also provide information and training about grants processes, potential funders, and compliance issues to the college community.
