DescriptionTo design and produce collateral that supports a unified employee communications and branding strategy that aligns with Navy Federal's strategic goals, encourages engagement and strengthens the organization's reputation as an employer of choice. Perform moderately complex/varied tasks with moderate latitude and impact.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute designs and visual branding for internal communication products and services including online, print, multimedia, presentation, display and other interactive collateralParticipate in strategic/conceptual development meetings with clients to determine project requirements, objectives and creative directionServe as creative resource and point of contact for management on design and branding standards, vendor selection and production methods and timelinesPresent creative concepts to Lead Graphic Designer and Supervisor for communication campaignsCreate and implement designs for projectsServe on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organizationMonitor assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are completed according to schedule; collaborate with project teams to ensure all business needs are metIncorporate and leverage best industry practices while maintaining alignment with Navy Federal goals and capabilitiesMay provide photographic support for internal events/activitiesSupport and take occasional direction from colleague(s) who lead design for large scale projectsResearch online libraries for images to support design team projectsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsExperience using design programs, creating print and online collateral for Employee Communication campaignsWorking knowledge of design principles design development standards, techniques and methodologies and ability to apply themWorking knowledge of design fundamentals such as color theory, typography and compositionExperience in interactive design, visual design and industry standardsExperience applying new programs and technologies to design and communication challengesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to compile, organize and present information clearly and conciselyExperience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projectsExperience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendorsExperience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goalsDesired - Experience with mainstream InDesign desktop publishing programs, and other Adobe Creative Suite programs including motion graphics and multimediaDesired - Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and proceduresEffective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsEffective verbal and written communication skillsEffective database and presentation software skillsEffective organizational, planning and time management skillsEffective research, analytical, and problem solving skillsEffective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsAssociate degree in graphic design or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and experienceDesired - Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
