Summary: CALM is looking for a driven and dedicated Program Manager (PM) to join its Great Beginnings (GB) Department. Based in Lompoc or Santa Maria and reporting to the Senior Manager of Prevention & Early Intervention, this integral role will plan, organize, and direct the full scope of operational activities within the Great Beginnings department. This department provides prevention, early intervention and treatment to families and caregivers with children prenatally though age nine. Services are delivered in the home, community setting, or clinic. Programs services support caregiver mental health, enhance healthy attachment, increase positive parenting, and reduce the impact of toxic stress. The PM oversees the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the department ensuring activities are trauma informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with CALM's mission and vision. Duties include coordination of programs and clinical services, administrative and clinical supervision, budget oversight, and compliance with grant and contract requirements. How you will make an impact:

  • Provide direction for GB team and oversight of all clinical services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with all CALM policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and train staff.
  • Enforce high ethical and legal standards for all clinical practices.
  • Provide administrative supervision and clinical supervision to staff.
  • Maintain clinical licensure and certification in departments-specific modalities of treatment.
  • Ensure clinical staff and clinical supervisors are trained in evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Assist in establishing and refining measurable performance objectives for each program.
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance/disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Oversee department contracts countywide and collaborate with other managers to ensure contract compliance.
  • Ensure contractual expectations and deliverables are met.
  • Ensure clinical productivity standards are achieved.
  • Supervise collection of program standardized assessments for treatment planning and program evaluation purposes.
  • Monitor program outcomes and support program evaluation efforts to guide continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain oversight of program expenditures to ensure costs are within the approved budget, and inform necessary budgetary changes, modifications, and priorities. ?Exercise appropriate cost control measures.
  • Remain current on research and developments in the field of trauma and resilience.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and growth.?
  • Represent the program in various settings and build effective collaborations with community partners.
  • Compile monthly program performance reports.
  • Provide limited direct clinical service as needed.
  • Serve on CALM's Leadership Team and attend monthly meetings.
  • Other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

CALM offers a 10% compensation increase upon licensure. CALM offers a $1-3/hour bilingual stipend to employees that use a second language. The salary range for this role is $89,544-118,560. This role includes a $10,000 hiring bonus paid in installments throughout the first year of employment! The salary range provided denotes the minimum and maximum rates applicable to the position. Factors influencing the placement of newly hired employees within this range include their specific skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and comparison with existing employees in similar roles. Typically, newly hired employees are positioned below the midpoint of the salary range. Requirements Role requirements:
  • LCSW or LMFT from an accredited university or college or Licensed Psychologist from respective California State Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
  • 2 - 3 years of prior or related experience as a program manager and/or as a clinical supervisor preferred.
  • Experience working in community mental health and/or working with child welfare preferred.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license, clean DMV record and criminal record clearance from the DOJ.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
