If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of machining principles, and are ready to operate state-of-the-art equipment, we want to hear from you!What You'll Do:As a Machinist II, you will play a crucial role in machining pressed ceramic materials to meet exacting customer specifications. Under the direction of our Production Supervisor, you'll adjust programs to accommodate material variations and ensure that every product meets the highest standards of precision. You'll operate CNC mills, 5th axis machines, and surface grinders, all while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Machining: Machine pressed ceramic materials to precise customer specifications, adjusting programs to accommodate material size variations.
- Quality Assurance: Perform first articles and in-process inspections using visual measuring devices (OGP) to ensure products meet our stringent quality standards.
- Advanced Equipment Operation: Operate CNC mills, 5th axis machines, surface grinders, and more, ensuring smooth processes and high-quality outputs.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, contributing to cost and cycle time reductions.
- Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Collaboration & Training: Work closely with QA and MRB teams to resolve complex issues, and provide on-the-job training to other employees on equipment operation and inspection techniques.
- Flexibility & Dedication: Be ready to adjust to varying work schedules and put in extra hours when needed to meet production demands.
- Continuous Improvement: Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including setup time reduction and 6-S practices.

What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of machining and material handling principles, proficiency in quality checks using measuring devices, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, reaching, and handling of materials weighing 50-75 lbs., along with other physical tasks such as walking, climbing, and kneeling.
Working Environment:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime and holiday work based on business needs.
