Grind Team Lead - 1st Shift - GA Richards : Job Details

Job Type Full-time Description Pay Range: $18./hr - $23.00/hr Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO and 401K after 90 days! Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Summary: Responsible for all production activity in the grinding department and leadership of assigned production team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in supervising assigned production team members according to company policies, procedures, and practices. Interprets and administers company policy at the department level
• Responsible for administration, production, quality, materials, equipment for department
• Meet or exceed daily goals
• Ensure team compliance with the quality system and applicable policy, procedure, and practice
• Ensure the quality of material shipped from company meets customer specifications through applicable quality system policies, procedures, and instructions
• Safely operate a forklift to move material within the facility
• Promote continuous process improvement
• Reading blueprint, quality plans, operator instructions and job routing for product specifications, such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground. and tooling instructions
• Lifts and positions work piece manually or with hoist, and secures between wheels and on work rest
• Starts machine and observes operation
• Verifies dimensions of ground work pieces for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and present gauges
• Must use statistical cooling techniques
• Maintain work area cleanliness

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of grinding experience and one year of supervisory experience preferred
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
