/ Position: Ground Handler

/ Location: Jersey

/ Working Hours: 40 Hours per week, 4 days on, 2 days off (rostered basis)

Gama Aviation is currently recruiting for a Ground Handler to work at our business aviation facility at Jersey Airport. This facility offers our clients a variety of high-quality services from aircraft charter, FBO (Fixed Based Operations) services, aircraft management and easily accessible conference facilities. The role is responsible, on a shift basis, for meeting and greeting passengers, handling of passenger luggage, freight management (if applicable) and moving luggage as required. / Responsibilities:

* Meeting and greeting passengers prior to and post flight

* Handling of passenger luggage before boarding

* Security check of luggage (if required)

* Loading and unloading of luggage

* Report any issue related with the luggage to higher officials

* Move luggage properly to its allocated flight

* Clean the aircraft interior

* Ensure the aircraft is adequately stocked as per the provision list provided

* Ensure the aircraft is prepared for the departure in accordance with the check sheet

* Handle incoming and outgoing telephone and radio calls as required

* Enter data for flights onto the computer system as required

/ Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

* Physically fit as the job includes moving luggage on and off aircraft

* Possesses high levels of accuracy and efficiency

* Must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels

* Well-presented and well-spoken individual, who is IT literate

* Clean driving licence

* Ability to successfully pass the security background check

Advantageous

* Knowledge of general aviation would be an advantage
