Title: Grounds CrewDepartment: Maintenance & Operational Services / District-WideFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPay Band: F Days/Hours: 8 hours per day/230 days per yearApplicant must have either a GED, or High School Diploma, or Bronze WorkKeys, or WIN Readiness Assessment at Bronze levelResponsibilities:

• Work safely and efficiently on district properties with safety of students and staff as the priority.
• Plans, trims, and maintains grass, shrubbery and trees.
• Grades, constructs sidewalks, installs fences, etc.
• Sprays weed control chemicals and pesticides after appropriate training with attention given to safety of employees and students.
• Transports equipment and furnishings throughout the district and maintains proper inventory of supplies and equipment to accomplish jobs and tasks.
• Assists other trades in areas such as grounds equipment maintenance and installs plumbing and electrical lines as required.
• Handles all work order items requested by the crew leader.
• Remains available for emergency or unplanned events that may transpire during the course of a school year.
• Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job responsibilities.
• Participates in staff development programs.
• Performs other duties as directed.
