Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader - County of Dare North Carolina : Job Details

Performs intermediate manual work overseeing a team of ground maintenance workers, performing ground maintenance, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. Limited oversight is exercised over work crews. Job Duties Mows, trims and edges grass, weeds flower and shrub beds; prunes, shears and trims trees and shrubs. Plants trees, shrubs, and annual flower displays; lays sod; seeds grass; prepares beds for planting. Oversees assigned crew members; ensures that work is performed in a high quality, safe and timely manner. Loads and transports plants, materials, and tools to the job site. Organizes work area and shop; orders and stocks cleaning supplies and tools for the maintenance shop. Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on mowers and small equipment. Provides training to new employees. Performs storm cleanup and snow removal as necessary. Performs other assigned duties.
