This position is also responsible for daily, weekly, and quarterly maintenance of all aspects of stormwater leaving PCF property, including changes in filtration, cleanliness of catch basins, and media. Responsibilities will also include cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, warehouse, and facility in general. Involvement in quarterly cleaning of all areas within the facility to keep it clean, safe, and well-maintained.What you'll do...
  • Perform general cleanup duties of all building areas, special cleaning projects, and emergency cleaning as needed to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions
  • Keep daily cleaning and sanitizing schedules (cleaning windows, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, restroom cleaning, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness of dock areas, smoking areas, break areas, parking lots, fence lines, and vegetation maintenance as needed, using power and hand tools
  • Sweep, blow, pressure wash, and steam clean exterior/internal areas
  • Clean and maintain Storm Water Basins, Filtration, and Reporting
  • Clean and sanitize floor drains and test with sanitizer strength strips
  • Ensure that the compactor area is free of all debris around the compactor
  • Remove garbage, cardboard, and plastic recycle bins daily
  • Operate cardboard baler
  • Move full cardboard, compactor, and plastic waste bins into trailers
  • Collect empty milk crates and stage them to be returned to vendors
  • Collect broken pallets and wood waste around the warehouse and move them outside at the south end of the building or into the recycling trailer
  • Operate a pallet jack and forklift
  • Operate a large diversity of hand and power tools and equipment associated with required tasks
  • Recognize, identify, and offer solutions to potential safety/emergency issues
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Stock and maintain cleaning supply rooms
  • Other duties may be assigned
What we look for...
  • 1-2 years of grounds maintenance/custodial experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to meet productivity requirements while operating safely and efficiently
  • Integrity, self-motivation, and ability to work independently with written and/or oral instructions, with and without supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills (ability to read and write in English to receive direction and complete paperwork)
  • Understand the structure and operation of the Maintenance Department, as well as group demands
  • Ability to operate power-assisted tools and power-driven custodial equipment and machinery
  • Must be able to operate equipment (forklift, floor jack, scrubber, etc.) and/or willing to be trained safely and professionally
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus
