Job Location : Mount Berry,GA, USA
1. Responsible for maintaining the college landscaping and grounds, minor repair to grounds equipment, and other grounds keeping tasks to maintain a safe and attractive environment.
2. Examines the college grounds on a routine basis, weeds flower beds, and mulch around shrubs, trees, buildings and natural areas.
3. Maintains streets and parking lots in the immediate vicinity of the main campus by vacuuming curbs, cleaning street drains, and unstopping drains with the sewage machine as directed.
4. Moves dead branches and trees, prunes and maintains trees. Inspects trees for damage from pests and disease. Grinds stumps and saves mulch for future use.
5. Supervise and train student workers on equipment and safety procedures within specific zone.
Requirements:
1. Able to safely operate various grounds equipment
2. Understand the proper uses of safety equipment in accordance with OSHA standards and procedures
3. Keeping Beautification of Berry College grounds
4. Oversee student workers; arrange schedules; delegate tasks
