Responsibilities:
- Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all wellness levels.
- Educates members in proper usage and instructional techniques on equipment.
- Identifies risk factors and designs specialized strength and conditioning programs for members.
- Supervises the maintenance of the Wellness Center, Movement Studios and all related areas on a daily basis.
- Meet with members individually and in groups to provide personalized nutritional coaching.
- Collects fees, keep records, complete reports and evaluations on all activities.
- Attend professional and educational conferences to keep informed of trends, developments, and advances in the wellness field.
- Maintains the standards and policies of the wellness center.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Wellness/Fitness field or 5 years experience in Fitness/Wellness field.
- Certification through one of the following organizations: ACSM, NSCA, ACE, NASM, ISSA
- Outgoing personality.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Computer knowledge and skills preferred.
- Must possess a sound physical condition and be able to lift and pull equipment of 50 lbs. or more.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
This position is paid $10.00/hour plus commission for each class taught.
