The Instructor will design and implement customized exercise programs using Pilates equipment such as reformers, mats, and apparatusStarting rate of pay is $20 per hour but may be adjusted based on applicants' qualifications.If hired in a WAE Appointment, I understand that I amnoteligible for or entitled to state benefits, leave earning and paid holidays. I am only authorized to work up to1245 hourswithin a twelve-month period, regardless of the job title or state agency that I work within. The twelve-month period is established upon initial date of hire and the 1245 hours may be worked on a full-time, part-time, or intermittent basis within the twelve-month period. Only the State Civil Service Commission may grant exceptions to this rule. In the event the appointing authority determines that a layoff is necessary, I do not have rights to offers of relocation to another position.Minimum Qualifications:Associate's Health related fieldCertification in Pilates Instruction, AED/CPR Certified, Knowledgeable of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanicsExperience with teaching Pilates and/or Reformer classesDuties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time, provides adequate warm-up, exercise, stretching, and cool downInstructs patrons on effective workout methods via exercise orientation; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies difficult muscle groups and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific musclesPerforms fitness assessments for clients to determine fitness needsGives tours to perspective members and covers front desk if neededPlease list all relevant work experience and education in the Employment history section of your application, this is how your rate of pay will be determined.
