DoorDash - Associate Director, Client Operations

Join the DoorDash team and be a part of DoorDash's continued growth as the number one delivery service in the U.S. While they've grown in size and scale, the client team still operates very much like a start-up - fun, creative, entrepreneurial, collaborative, but also working hard, fast and smart.

As the Associate Director for Client Operations, you will be one of the leaders on the core account team - working closely with the planning, investment and analytics leads as well as being the client go-to for any operational topics. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and leading the charge for finance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting quickly to client needs, managing multiple workstreams efficiently, leading team members effectively and thinking creatively to navigate around potential roadblocks while adhering to agency and client processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all aspects of campaign implementation, including:

* Ensure the Operations team is managing effective communications of workflow and deadlines for both Wavemaker and client-owned deliverables

* Work closely across all investment and relevant teams to foster excellence in implementation and delivery

* Oversee efficient coordination with clients, creative partners, investment teams and 3rd party vendors

* Ensure all related pre- and post- launch activity, including trafficking, asset delivery, launch confirmations, launch decks and post-launch follow-ups, are completed accurately and within timelines

* Manage and develop processes to ensure timely response and delivery to all client requests (e.g. implementation timelines, asset trackers and other operation / project management processes)

* Oversee all Finance-related activity, including:

* Work with Client Operations Manager to manage financial processes related to media billing and invoicing, such as:

* Coordinate billing process with multiple investment teams

* Work with WM Client Finance and GroupM Finance teams to ensure excellence in billing processes

* Monitor invoice submission to DoorDash systems in a timely and accurate fashion

* Oversee Client Operations Manager to manage spend reporting workstreams, such as:

* Coordinate and manage cross check process with the Planning team on related client-facing spend documents

* Oversee weekly updates with client Finance and Accounting teams

* Collaborate with internal teams on ad-hoc requests for spend and data reporting

* Work closely with WM and GroupM Finance teams on ad hoc financial workstreams

* Oversee data delivery process, including:

* Ensure all client-facing spend reporting sources (Planning, Finance and Database) are aligned with each other

* Oversee weekly database data delivery process to produce accurate output

* Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Visualization team to build out priority roadmap for database optimizations

* Guide and lead day-to-day management and communications between clients, internal teams, external partners (including DoorDash's creative agency) and their respective project needs

* Oversee key communication areas including status updates, key deliverables, timelines, processes, and budget management

* Lead development of account processes for cross-functional workstreams, including:

* Working with Operations team to build process documentation and checklists where needed

* Continuously look for opportunities to develop and implement process improvements

Desired Skill Sets:

* Prior media planning or media investment experience

* Highly organized and process oriented

* High level of attention to detail and ability to retain a large amount of information

* Strong people management skills - ability to manage team members for maximum productivity

* Strong workflow management skills - ability to manage timelines and set clear expectations

* Strong Excel skills - expertise with pivot tables and analysis of large amounts of complex data

* Strong problem-solving skills - ability to guide and develop solutions for the team

* Strong communication skills - clear, sufficiently detailed, concise and timely

* Strong team work ethic

* Strong understanding of agency processes

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
