This position will cover the Modesto to Stockton area.What you will do:As a Grower Advisor, you will partner with the Grower Relations team in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will create nutritional and fertility recommendations based off visual observations and soil or tissue analysis. You will meet frequently with growers to preserve a close and prosperous relationship for DPG and the growers.

• Foster a strong relationship with Deerpoint Group customers to exceed business goals
• Scout crops for nutritional deficiencies / luxuries, overall health, and production
• Create fertility recommendations
• Maintain a strong knowledge of all of DPG's programs, products and capabilities
• Write and conduct with the customer, technical reports (soil and tissue) and business reviews as appropriate
• Effectively utilize CRM to distribute customer info / needs to all DPG departments
• Company vehicle, cell phone and laptop provided.

Education Requirement:

• B.S. in Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Nutrition or other life sciences
• PCA, CCA, and QAL preferred

Minimum QualificationsExperience Two to three years of field experience in plant nutrition, soil science, or other agricultural related science, technical understanding of plant nutrition is essential.Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills; Proficiency in computer processing functions and other standard office equipment; ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks; Ability to read, comprehend reports and analyze data and explain clearly and concisely to others; Ability to calmly and professionally resolve issues with diplomacy and tact; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Strong organizational skillsPhysical Requirements: Visual acuity to read a computer screen and paper documents; close and distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception, ability to adjust focus; hearing acuity to converse with staff and customers in person and by phone; ability to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift and move 10 pounds on a regular basis, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds; ability to sit for hours at a time, as well as drive for hours at a time.Working Conditions:This position functions in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to a variety of work environments; which include outside weather conditions and exposure to machinery and equipment with moving parts.
