Chestnut Ridge Church (www.chestnutridgechurch.com) is seeking a part-time (10-15 hours per week) Guest Experience Specialist to deliver/lead a culture of hospitality for all Sunday gatherings and special events at The Ridge.We are located in the educational, commercial, medical and cultural hub of north-central West Virginia. Home of the Division I, Big 12 West Virginia University Mountaineers, Morgantown is recognized as one of the best small cities in which to live, work, and raise a family.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a street to seat culture of hospitality on Sunday mornings and special events
  • Recruit, prepare, equip, and encourage the Guest Experience Team
  • Run point on scheduling the team on a regular basis
  • Work with the Facilities team to maintain and clean and presentable appearance of the lobby
  • Provide coaching and leadership for Guest Experience serve team and team leaders.
  • Oversee the provision of communion elements and setup of communion tables once a month for the services
  • Run point on providing refreshments for our church family for most gatherings and special events as needed.
  • Effectively steward the budget and all resources related to your ministry.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Programming Director and Creative Director
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and earned degrees and/or other training that has equipped them for the duties of the role.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good at interacting with people.
  • Able to solve problems.
  • Can stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexible with work hours, including nights and weekends.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
