Job SummaryThis role is responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients and their belongings to and from inpatient rooms and care areas and upon discharge Responsible for greeting family members and visitors and escorting them to various locations throughout the facility. Screens family members and visitors to ensure the safety and security of visitors and staff, notify security discretely should the person be a VIP. Experience
  • Hospitality experience preferred.
  • On the job training under the direction of the Department Supervisor and an experienced Guest Service Associate.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
License & Certifications
  • CPR is required within 3 months of hire.
  • De-escalation training within 1 month of hire.
Additional Requirements
  • Familiar with transport equipment such as, stretcher, oxygen tanks, and hospital/ICU beds.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties.
  • Willingness to complete assignments with a high level of quality and consideration of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to receive constructive criticism professionally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use communication devices such as telephones, computers, bar codes, pagers, etc.
  • Works well together with different units and departments throughout the Hospital community
  • Full knowledge of hospital ethics and policies as they pertain to the job are required.
