CVPRD is dedicated to our core values: Innovation, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer Service.What You'll Be Doing:Under the general direction and supervision of the Guest Service Coordinator and Assistant Coordinators, a Guest Service Representative-IV is responsible for opening and closing the building independently, including overseeing building access, operating safe codes, and handling advanced cash procedures. This role provides direct customer service to community members, guests, and staff, assists with program and membership registrations, answers phone calls at the recreation center and serves as a central communication point to relay information from all departments to the public.Our ideal candidate will:

- Serve as Manager on Duty in absence of Coordinators
- Assists in facility supervision. Responsible for cash handling procedures, opening or securing the facility and assisting in maintaining facilities in a clean, neat and safe manner.
- Ability to effectively handle emergency situations such as sudden illness, injury, behavioral issues, or alarms
- Demonstrates sound decision and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates trustworthiness in maintaining the confidentiality and security of building access, including keys, building codes, and safe codes.
- Support and oversee drop-in activities and programs in the facility. Troubleshoot and report any concerns of these programs
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
- Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner to internal and external customers, patrons.
- Has thorough knowledge and understanding of District programs and offerings to answer questions and process memberships, classes, program enrollments, facility rentals, etc.
- Must be proficient at communicating internally and externally via email, phone and in-person to supervisors, co-workers, participants, parents, volunteers, and other community members.
- Attends staff meetings and departmental trainings
- Conducts building tours for community members
- Performs basic janitorial functions in facilities to include but not limited to mopping floors, taking out trash, cleaning up spills, and cleaning fitness equipment.
- Have basic computer knowledge with programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Other programs include CivicRec and Paylocity.
- Enforces rules and policies with staff and guests within the building.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications:Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays based on the needs of the District.Must be 18 years of age6 months working in a recreation center or similar settingHigh school diploma or GEDCPR, AED, first aid certification, or the ability to become certified within the first 90 days of employment
