**STATUS:** Part-time, Hourly/Non-Exempt, Union (SEIU, Local 1877)

**JOB SUMMARY:**

As a *Guest Services Representative*, you will be one of the first friendly faces to proactively welcome gueststo the ballpark. You will be supporting different areas of the ballpark including, but not limited to, the seating bowl and entry gates. As a *Guest Service Representative,* you will gain or strengthen a variety of skills in the areas of customer service, people, and crowd management to exceed guestexpectations.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Exemplify our Petco Park Promise: Care, Connect, Exceed. Proactively welcomes all guests to the ballpark, connecting with frequent guests and consistently striving to exceed all guest expectations

* Utilize ticket scanning equipment portable devices to assist guests at entry gates

* Manage crowd flow, verify, and maintain ticket integrity in the seating bowl

* Provide guests with directions to different areas of the ballpark such as seating sections, group hospitality spaces, restrooms, concession stands, retail spaces and other Petco Park services and amenities

* Quickly evaluate guests needs or matters during events through empathy, listening, specific questioning, and effectively resolve them through appropriate action, service, or solution

* Care for our ballpark by reporting security, safety, and housekeeping issues to event management staff via appropriate communication channels

* Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment

* Operate portable devices to report ballpark issues and communicate with ballpark staff

* Work collaboratively to create a positive and memorable ballpark and/or venue experience

* Continuously improve understanding to gain expert knowledge of the ballpark, baseball, and the Padres

* Always represents the Club in a positive and professional manner

* Other duties as assigned by Guest Experience leadership and/or Padres management team

**JOB REQUIREMENTS:** Must meet the following minimum requirements.

* Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment

* Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time, up to the complete duration of shifts, during games and events, and in all inclement weather, including rain and/or direct sunlight; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds

* Available to work flexible hours on a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

* Must be available to work at least 75% of the Padres home games. Must be available to work all weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) home games, with the exception of up to 6 of these weekend games Additionally, must be available to work for 75% of Petco Parks non-baseball ticketed events (including, but not limited to, concerts, conventions, entertainment shows, festivals, etc.)

* Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance

* Ability to quickly learn and effectively operate technology-driven handheld, portable devices

* Must be highly personable, enthusiastic, positive, and professional, and be able to keep that same composure in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and demanding environment

* Must be a natural conversation starter who is passionate about serving others

* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with proven ability to de-escalate situations within large groups of crowds

* Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

* Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability

* Strong ability to work well with others in a collaborative, respectful manner
