Job Description :
TITLE: Dispatcher PAY RATE: $18 - $22 per hour LOCATION: 35 West 35th Street New York, NY 10001 EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time SCHEDULE:
  • 8, 10 & 12 hours shifts, Monday - Sunday
  • Weekend availability is required
BENEFITS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 year's experience in transportation dispatch. EMS Dispatch Preferred.
  • Geographical knowledge of service areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize each task accordingly.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to type 40/45 wpm's and experience with data entry.
  • Ability to work within a team setting as well as work independently.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of computer aided dispatch software (CAD).
  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) or Certified First Responders (CFR) with 2 years of experience and/or 1 year of EMS dispatch experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive large volume intake calls, prioritize and dispatch calls in CAD System.
  • Determine appropriate level of care and coordinate transport calls and activities with EMTs in the field.
  • Be courteous and friendly to medical facilities, the public, and fellow EMS staff, providing top tier customer service.
  • Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
