Job Description :

We're seeking a skilled Hardware Quality Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products perform flawlessly, providing technical expertise in testing and detailed diagnostics of my client's products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing (project-based) software, electrical hardware, and mechanical systems during and after the development phase.
  • Testing for problems/issues logging in bug database.
  • Updating or improving test book and test procedures.
  • Writes or assists in the development of test procedures, test reports, and test plans.
  • Understands & can perform regulatory test procedures and can provide reports under the DAP/CTDP program.
  • Contrive, arrange, build, and configures necessary test setup (hardware, software and operating environments) as needed to complete assigned testing.
  • Keeping track and logging of own working hours/activities.
  • Assist in the automation of relevant test procedures.
  • Assist in review of test processes as they are developed.
  • Participates in development and quality meetings.
  • Timely escalation when deadlines are (threat to be) compromised.
  • Increase own knowledge of product and system.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BSC level).
  • Testing complex electrical and software systems.
  • Setting up tests and test equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Reporting results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of UL hazardous area zoning requirements for fuel dispensers­­­­­­.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, PDM and ERP systems.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  • Experience working on cross-functional design teams.
  • Experience in a global environment is a plus.
  • Multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.

Essential Functions:

  • MS Office (Word, Excel), E-mail, Database usage
  • Experience as a field service technician or production repair/test is preferred
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team

This is an on-site position in Austin-TX.
