OVERVIEW:The Harvest Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading the Harvest Maintenance Team in their day-to-day duties, as well as delegating duties to the team according to expectations set forth by the Director of Maintenance & Engineering. This position is responsible for developing all three shifts into functional teams who can execute down-time solutions as well as preventative maintenance using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a Creekstone Proud culture through attitude and actions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide leadership and operational direction to the Harvest Maintenance Team.
- Responsible for oversight of departmental targets and KPIs.
- Monitors shift operations and productivity through shift supervisors.
- Maximizes the efficiency of the department.
- Develops capital plans, budget and controls for department spending at budget levels.
- Improves facility operations systems.
- Designs and scales manufacturing processes related to automation.
- Provides engineering technical assistance for product development.
- Responsible for complying with the Company reliability program.
- Prepares various project reports as needed.
- Communicates project status, progress, and any issues in a timely manner.
- Provides documentation of all work to establish procedures and guidelines.
- Assures that all employees follow company policies and procedures, and established work instructions.
- Oversees training/cross training of assigned staff, appraises performance, and initiates corrective action process as needed.
- Accountable for ensuring that all health and safety policies and regulations are enforced.
- Administrative duties including daily reports and timekeeping for payroll purposes.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a related technical field, beef manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to maintain high work expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results.
- Able to prioritize, stay on task and meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment where change occurs frequently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful.
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data/information appropriately.
