College of the Sequoias is seeking candidates to fill a part-time, Head Cross Country Coach/Assistant Track Coach position in the Physical Education/Athletics Department beginning January 6, 2025.

The hourly rate for this position is between $67.56 - $76.15 - dependent upon education (Please see Part- Time Faculty Salary Schedule on the COS Human Resources website for more details).

Duties include, but not limited to:

* Effectively recruit distance runner student-athletes to COS.

* Coach COS distance runners as the Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Cross Country program, and be the assistant coach for track and field focused on distance runners.

* Be able to assist student athletes through their academic journey at COS.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must meet the following criteria. (The degree must be from an accredited institution).

* Associate degree AND six years of professional experience related to the assignment OR

* Bachelor degree AND two years of experience related to the assignment OR

* The equivalent AND

* Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students which pursuant to Title 5 53022 is a core system competency and job requirement.

Desirable Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience to help athletes and/or runners improve their physical abilities.

* Possess the soft skills necessary to effectively recruit student-athletes and work in a team environment.
