Easy Apply now by clicking the Apply buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 per yearA bit about us:A National Construction compnay rich with 100 year history specializing in Commerical, Industrial, Educational, Medical, Municipal, Multi-family and residential building applicationsWhy join us?Benefits:401(k)401(k) 4% MatchDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programVision insuranceJob DetailsResponsibilities:MUST have strong experience overseeing Bids and BudgetsPerform conceptual cost estimates early in project engagement;Ensure all estimates are accurate and have considered all risk factors;Obtain labor rates, taxes and insurance requirements, as needed for estimate development;Perform accurate quantity surveys for all types of construction systems and materials;Participate in client or 3rd party reconciliations;Maintain an operating awareness of all contract issues and project participants;Analyze and identify scope of work from existing conditions, plans, and specifications through all phases of design and construction;Participate in client and contractor negotiations to resolve contract changes and claims;Assist the Resident Engineers and Project Managers with change analysis and development and / or validation of control budgets;Build and maintain exceptional client relationships;Identify and input new or revised data into estimating database;Review construction project plans, requirements, drawings, and specifications;Review designs and specifications for cost-effectiveness and suggest appropriate alternatives;Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates through all stages of design;Manage drawing distribution to prospective supplier/subcontractors to obtain bids.Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or similar studies or high school equivalent combined with field experience;A minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience on commercial and industrial projects, $5 million and larger;Experience with Accubid, Livecount, and Bluebeam;Extensive experience with excel, word, outlook;Experience with project engineering or project management on a variety of projects including tenant improvement and core/shell construction;Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, SAGE, AutoDesk, and or other design software;Detail oriented;Ability to strategize, problem solve and plan;Working knowledge in use of Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling software;A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering), Construction Management, or related;Strong knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff software and MS Office applications;Preferred Qualifications;10+ years related experience in architectural/heavy civil/structural/utility elements for Commerical, industrial, educational, medical, municipal OR multi-family / residential builds projects;Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesBachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and/or 10 years of equivalent experience requiredGeneral knowledge of construction principles and processes.Ability to synthesize cost data from a wide range of sources into a conceptual estimate.Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.General knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids, and GMP processes.Working knowledge of estimating technology and software.Strong math and analytical skills.Attention to detail.Solid interpersonal and communication skills.Strong work ethic and core values.Maintains a “value added” approach to estimating.Job Type: Full-time Schedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:Construction Estimating: 5 yearsInterested in hearing more?
