Head Girls Basketball Coaching Position

Responsibilities and requirements for the Head Girls Basketball Coaching position include:

* Team and Individual Player Development: Focusing on enhancing the skills, teamwork, and overall performance of the players.

* Strategic Planning and Game Management: Developing game strategies and making real-time decisions during matches.

* Training and Practice Sessions: Organizing and conducting regular practice sessions to improve team dynamics and individual skills.

* Academic Support and Guidance: Ensuring players maintain academic standards and receive necessary support for their educational pursuits.

* Collaborate with athletic training personnel regarding medical clearances, injury prevention, rehabilitation and playing status of student-athletes.

* Collaborate with athletic department regarding the distribution, collection, of athletic equipment and supplies.

* Ensure and communicate expectations to student-athletes.

* Promotion of sportsmanship, academic achievement.

Schedule:

* Season: November through February

* The Practice Times: Monday to Friday, after school

* The schedule times are rotated between athletic teams

Experience and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in coaching basketball at a competitive level.

* Strong understanding of basketball techniques, rules, and regulations.

* Relevant coaching certifications.

* First Aid and CPR certifications is required.

* Bachelor's degree preferred.

* Required to drive the school van to and from away games.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Promoting sportsmanship and ethical behavior.

* Collaborating with athletic staff and administration.

* Engaging in community and promotional events related to the team.

Successful candidates must be available for all practices and competitions during the coaching season.

Head Coaches will be responsible for planning, organizing, all practices, including a range of drills and activities.

Required:

CPR-First Aid/AED Certification

Concussion Prevention Certification

Relevant Coaching Certification

Valid driver's license required-Defensive driving certification required.

Experience coaching is preferred.

Salary- $25-$40 hourly
