Regency Furniture Stadium, built in 2008, is a sand-based Kentucky bluegrass field located in Waldorf, Maryland. It is approximately 35 minutes south of Washington, D.C.Responsibilities:The Head Groundskeeper will be actively involved in all aspects of maintaining a professional baseball field:

• Repairing mounds/home plate
• Infield clay management
• Dragging, mowing, irrigation, tarp duties
• Chalking, painting logos, fertilizing,
• Supervising outside activities on the field
• Supervise and instruct game-day grounds crew
• Batting practice set up and breakdown

Qualifications:

• Work long hours (up to 12-14 on game days), including nights, weekends and holidays
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Aggressive, competitive and committed to the sports industry
• Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Detail-oriented and organized; ability to handle several projects at once
• Any experience working for a team, athletic department or event is beneficial
• Accredited, four-year degree in Turf Management
• Specialized training and experience in Turf Management
