We're looking for an experienced Head of Architecture, WMA Technology, to manage the following:

• Lead a small central Enterprise Architecture team, working in partnership with architects federated across the WMA Technology delivery organizations.
• In partnership with the delivery organizations, define multi-year architecture interim states and roadmaps covering business capability build-out, modernization, and simplification.

• Lead a team of 5 – 10 solution architects, consulting to major initiatives, working with delivery teams to troubleshoot and resolve major architecture or technical issues.
• Generalize guidance and learnings in the form of architectural patterns, cookbooks, guidance.
• Build a guild of solution architects across WMA Technology.
• Work closely with production support teams to ensure that applications are supportable and that action plans are in place to resolve any major deficiencies.

• Ensure domain-driven design approaches are used across our teams in WMA.
• Promote development of an integrated data architecture and toolset, across WMA Technology, working with the delivery organizations.

• Ensure sound governance of decisions across the Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture domains.
• Ensure the ‘health' of the architecture and the design process are monitored and action is taken to address issues.

Your team

You'll be working in the Wealth Management Americas Technology CTO team in Weehawken focusing on designing end-to-end solutions that integrate people, processes, data, and technology to support business objectives. For our Wealth Management Americas Technology CTO, we are looking for an experienced architect who will drive the architecture strategy and who will lead teams of solution, data, and enterprise architects. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, collaborative leader with great depth in technical knowledge.

Your expertise

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• Ideally 15+ years working as an architect, preferably within the finance sector.
• Experience of on-prem and cloud technologies, RDBMSs, Java and other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience in functional programming is desirable.
• Strong track record in solution and enterprise architecture disciplines at a large scale.
• Strong experience of domain-driven design.
• Development and/or technical infrastructure experience.
• Successful management of complex and diverse tasks, while meeting key objectives and timelines.
• Strong active listening and communication skills to build networks and partnerships at all levels.
• Strong leadership skills.
