Summary of Position: PetSafe Brands is seeking a passionate, CPG experienced, and dynamic individual to join our company as the Head of Brand. If you thrive on the excitement of being part of a leading Pet industry global brand, bringing must-have, innovative technology to market in a fast-paced environment - this is the role for you. In this critical and highly visible role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive brand strategies, partnerships, and communications to enhance our company's leadership, presence, and reputation as the industry leader. Here you will lead multiple teams of talented professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure that all aspects of external facing communications and efforts align with the goals and values of the brand. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, brand strategy, comms development and possess extremely strong leadership, communications and strategic thinking skills.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the overall brand strategy, brand equity, brand voice/tone/visual identity, price positioning, communication development, claims, packaging assets, visual merchandising, tradeshow execution, social and PR strategies, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
- Lead a team of brand marketers, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Be the steward of the brand's visual identity, messaging, content and relaying the consumer value proposition.
- Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging various channels such as digital, social media, print, and events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, engineering, supply chain, and creative teams, to align brand initiatives with business goals.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer insights to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the market and adjust the brand strategy & execution accordingly for growth and optimal market positioning.
- Maintain brand consistency in all external and internal communications, ensuring that messaging aligns with brand values and positioning.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage the brand marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize return on investment.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including media partners, agencies, and influencers, to enhance brand visibility and collaborations.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of proven experience in brand development, management and marketing, preferably in a high-growth CPG organization.
- Senior level experience with assessing strategies, preferably including developing operating plans or actions needed to execute on the strategies as well establishing metrics and assessing the effective execution of the strategies.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Deep knowledge of branding principles, marketing strategies, and consumer behavior.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful brand campaigns across multiple channels.
- Proficiency in utilizing marketing tools and platforms for analytics, campaign management, and reporting.
- Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box to drive innovative marketing solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
