Education

A university degree (e.g. Journalism, Media, Communications) or equivalent experience

Experience

At least 10 years of experience in a corporate communications/public relations environment, of which 5 years as communications specialist.

* Experience in the financial services or the technology industry

* Experience working with international teams in a diverse environment

* Knowledge of digital communication tools and platform

Key Responsibilities

* The role would be involve working in the DC Metro area and include frequent travel to New York, the successful candidate would be based out of one of our Virginia offices

* Provide corporate communications expert consultancy and/or propose, plan, coordinate and implement communication strategies, in line with corporate communications strategy and policies. Keep abreast with business evolution, trends and technology in the market.

* Lead the company's media relations and corporate communications activities

* Produce, launch and ensure the effective use of communications tools and materials, e. g. publications, articles, press releases and media briefings

* Liaise internally with key business partners and manage PR agency relations

* Lead the design and development of strategic corporate communication projects and action plans.

* Initiate, develop, plan, co-ordinate and follow up of corporate communication projects.

* Monitor progress of written texts and ensure high quality deliverables to internal customers to ensure all communication is implemented consistently.

* Lead a global team of Corporate Communications Specialists.

The estimated salary range for this position in Virginia is $135,200 to $202,800 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
