Head of Creative – Paid Media Content Creation

CODE 118 is seeking to hire a Head of Creative to lead paid media content creation! This role is responsible for the day-to-day creation of innovative and engaging marketing materials (mostly videos, some images) used for paid advertising on platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and more. You'll curate, produce, film, and edit eye-catching video ads, stay ahead of trends, and collaborate with UGC content creators online (and sometimes in person).

What You Will Do

• Develop creative content ideas and fresh marketing angles.

• Film ads yourself with our product in different formats (face-to-cam, POV, etc.).

• Organize and sort content to create mashup-style videos.

• Write video outlines, scripts, and storyboards.

• Create briefs for UGC creators and actors.

• Stay ahead of social media trends to keep content relevant.

• Analyze ad performance and improve based on key metrics.

The Ideal Candidate

• Is wildly creative.

• Has experience creating short-form video ads (15-60 seconds).

• Is skilled in videography and video editing (Adobe Premiere preferred).

• Has experience working with UGC creators.

• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Can develop creative advertising angles, hooks, and scripts.

• Can confidently film content solo for POV/UGC-style videos.

• Is highly organized and up to date with creative trends.

Bonus Points

• Experience with copywriting or graphic design.

• Skills in Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, or motion graphics.

• Knowledge of advertising analytics on Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and Google.
